After hearing about random portals dropping off creatures from other universes, Jolly decided to investigate further.  His first clues led him to an abandoned temple, where he found a strange man chanting endlessly. Jolly approached him with caution and asked if he needed any help. The man just kept pointing to the stars. Jolly realised he just wanted to go home, so he pulled out his portal gun and tried until they got the right universe. As a gift, the strange man gave Jolly his mask and staff.  The staff was marked “Jolly”, which was strange because they never spoke.
